All racing teams were traveling south for the 1000 km of Buenos Aires on January 20, 1957, and Maserati had high hopes for its 400hp racer, the mighty 450S that had been a big success the previous year.











Believe it or not, Citroën took ownership of Maserati in 1968, but after the French firm went bankrupt in 1974, Maserati was put into liquidation.





From Modena the car was shipped to Porto in Portugal.

Withdrawal from racing Maserati retired from factory racing participation because of the tragedy during the 1957though they continued to build cars for.
